SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS
This burrata is freshly hand made to order by our award-winning cheese maker (Great Taste Award 2015 & 2016) - you won't find fresher burrata anywhere in London and it tastes absolutely fantastic!Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella while the inside contains both mozzarella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. The name "burrata" means "buttered" in Italian. Burrata was first made around 1920 on the Bianchini farm in the city of Andria in Murgia, an area in the Apulia region. In the 1950s, it became more widely available after a few of the local cheese factories began producing it.
The flavour and different textures of the inside and outside make it go well with salad, prosciutto crudo, crusty bread or fresh tomatoes with olive oil and cracked black pepper.

Serving
To enjoy the full flavour of the burrata, consume on or within a few days of delivery at room temperature. A secret tip from our cheese maker: take the burrata out of the fridge, immerse the sealed container into a tub of 30-40 degree Celsius water and wait until the burrata warms to room temperature.
